The charts show how many men and women were affected by sexually transmitted diseases between 2000 and 2015. Within each gender, the data is divided into three age groups:15 to 39 years, 40 to 69 years, and over 70 years.
Both diagrams visualize the same data in different forms of presentation:on the right as a classic bar chart — significantly easier to read — and on the left in a more elaborately designed format — visually more appealing for the viewer.
The signet was designed for the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth. It consists of five departments that are interconnected to varying degrees:Family, Senior Citizens, Women and Equality, Children and Youth, and Voluntary Service.
The signet itself forms the basic framework with consistent line weights. It is based on five anchor points representing the departments, which are connected by lines to related areas. The individual symbols for each department build upon this structure, with stronger line weights emphasizing the connections to other departments.
The reality TV series Jersey Shore follows eight young Italian Americans living together in a house on the coast of New Jersey. Over the course of roughly 40-minute episodes, the show primarily revolves around themes such as conflict, sex and relationships, appearance, partying, and everyday happenings.
The diagrams illustrate how and when these different topics are addressed across two episodes of the series and which individuals are involved.
The separation of Sarah and Pietro Lombardi sparked intense discussion across media and social networks. A publicly perceived ideal quickly collapsed. Based on this, we explored how collective reactions from social media can be translated into a physical form.
The result is a generatively designed lampshade whose geometry is directly derived from this data. Its facets represent reactions and comments, revealing differences in tone and intensity. Depending on the viewing angle, the two perspectives can be contrasted and experienced as a spatial structure.
