One underlying issue is the varying popularity of individual shifts. Although this imbalance is well known, it is often overlooked in day-to-day operations.

“Singulatity” is an interactive terminal that compares employees’ individual preferences — taking shift availability into account — with the degree to which those preferences are actually fulfilled. In this way, relationships and patterns within shift planning become visible that often remain hidden in day-to-day operations.
