My expertise

On to new horizons – from Osnabrück to Munich

Within the Bosch design team at BSH Hausgeräte GmbH in Munich, I gained experience working in an internationally operating large corporation.

During the six-month internship semester, I gained insights into various design departments and applied the knowledge from my studies in a practical environment.

In the first month, I primarily worked in the user interface department. My responsibilities included creating concept and visual designs for various household appliances as well as conducting usability tests. To support these usability tests, I developed an iOS app using the Ionic framework, which allowed participants to prototype and test different design patterns — something that was not possible in this form with the existing low-fidelity prototypes.
Afterwards, I moved to the pre-development department, where I spent most of my time. My responsibilities included market research, preparing for and participating in innovation workshops and design thinking sprints focused on cooking, as well as providing graphic support across various areas. The design sprints consistently took place in interdisciplinary and international teams, which I found both highly engaging and enriching.

In addition, I supported other departments from time to time. For example, I created an animated film for a point-of-sale concept in the washing category. For the Cooking Goods division, I assisted in the preparation, execution, and evaluation of a usability test for a cooktop operating concept.
